This was a big decision for me five years ago, after 15 years of BMWs - mostly M3s. I was sold on the S4 until I sat in that familiar cockpit in the BMW showroom. I can't say I regret buying the 2010 E92 coupe, but now after 20 years of BMWs it's time for a change. Part of it is me, part of it is BMW's inability to get the firmware right, part of it is the gouging local dealer. This time it will be an Audi S4: overweight and long in the tooth as it is. I suspect I'll be back in two or three years, likely with an F80 M3.
