There hasn't been many wheel styles I like so far, drives me nuts to find a perfect looking wheel besides the stock one, anyone has experience with PUR wheels? I saw this setup online and it looks pretty clean, I wonder what setup he has on these bad boys.:cool!:

Porsche 956 - Journey thru time...
It's quite an emotional moment. Hans-Joachim Stuck switches on the flat six engine of the Porsche 956 with the legendary chassis number 007. Stefan Bellof wrote history with this car and on Dunlop slicks 30 years ago, when he recorded his incredible lap time of 6.11,13 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. A record that endures until today. The 956 is back at the Ring". And "Strietzel" travels back in time...

Individual Leather - order difficulty
Hi there
I placed an order on 6th Dec for a 428i series GC with nutmeg individual leather. The dealer has advised today that there is a problem with the order that it could not be accepted/entered into the system. They have chased BMW UK sales who have chased Germany but no further information has been advised, only that it is a problem. So the dealer can't give any ETA for the car at all.
Can someone here clarify the process with individual options, please? I have been told they go into a separate queue and I appreciate this causes some delay (how much for an interior?) to the order but the fact that order is not being accepted I don't really understand. Does this mean that the leather I want is unavailable; if that was the case why not say it?!
In the meantime, I am looking at alternative interior colours, but am struggling to find something remotely as close to my liking.
Thanks
Jon

18" winter tire setup
Forgot I had these... but they're not M3 fitment don't worry, 225's all around IIRC. I forget what's on it for tires but they're great. 1 season on the tires. Don't recall any curb rash etc. They're at my parents I'll go get more info if anyone is still looking this late in the season. $900 or offer. I've got another car I DD through the winter so they're not needed.
Car sitting
I normally only drive my vehicles once a week. Is that alright for the RFT or should I move them more often?

Should probably be in the "Off Topic" section, but to give as many guys the chance as possible, I stuck it in here.

Feeler: WTB Stock E92 335 SG rear bumper and muffler
Putting a feeler out there since I've seen these items for free before...things people are probably throwing out after upgrade.
I'm looking for a stock E92 335i rear bumper, most preferably in Space Gray. Not looking to have to repaint it, so no scratches/bumps/marks etc. Perhaps someone was looking to toss theirs after upgrading to M-Sport or OE Aero.
Also looking for a stock E92 335i muffler, in working condition without leaks/bends etc. (with the tips intact)
If anyone has one or both near NNJ, let me know. I am willing to pay some cash for them, but on a limited budget.
On the other hand, if someone has what I'm looking for and wants a neat quad tip setup, I have one to trade. You would have to add cash. Consists of OEM SG rear w/ Cyba Hamann CF replica diffuser + chrome Cyba quad tips on Magnaflow mufflers. This is currently welded to my car.
Thanks in advance!

M performance parts and lease turn in
Hey guys I am about two years away from this question being relevant but it popped into my mind and wanted to get your feedback on it now.
So I wanted to add a couple of m performance accessories to my 328 but really didn't want to pay the up charge for the performance suspension and absolutely refused to get charged 4 hours of labor to install a muffler. Needless to say, I bought both once I took delivery of the car and had the suspension installed professionally and installed the muffler myself.
I plan on turning this car in once the lease is up and ordering either a 335 loaded or an M3. So my question is, if I no longer have the stock sport suspension and muffler, what will the dealer due to ding me when the car is turned in? The guy I work with there is a family friend so I'm wondering if there's anything he can do to help out since some of the improvements on the car obviously are not reflected in the window sticker.
Worst case I guess I can just buy the car and sell it separately...

Getting wheels shipped from USA to Australia?
I'm looking to ship a set of wheel from the US to Australia. The cost I got quoted for a set of 4 boxes shipped through FedEx was $950!
Is there a more manageable way to ship these? Has anyone heard or have had experience?

335i muffler on single outlet f30
Hi,
I don't know witch forum would be right for my question, so I just put It here..
I'm thinking of buying a used oem 335i muffler to put on my car. I have a single outlet non-m sport exhaust.
I know there will be some mods to make it fit, but my consern is how would the 335i exhasut line up with the existing bumper "cutout". Well it obvious that I need to make one more "cutout" but will the existing one line up with the outlet? Or do I need to buy a 335i rear bumper?
Thanks.

M235i F22 underseat subwoofer upgrade
I decided to switch out the stock speakers with aftermarket Jehnert Flatlines, These include two 8" subs, two 4" mids and two 1" tweeters in a 3way component set, with two sets of crossovers.
For the first part, I will go over the process for the subwoofer upgrade.
Tools you will need:
Socket wrench with a 10mm socket (may need this)
T10, T20 and T50 torx keys or bits
Trim removal tool
Pick and hook
Optionally:
Spade clips male and female
Solder
I didn't have all these tools on hand, but I made it work.
Now to begin we need to start by removing the bolts to the front seats. There are four total and they are removed using the T50 torx key. Here is where the key is preferable to a bit, unless you are using it with a drill, as turning these by hand on a screwdriver would require a lot of force. Even so, a key would fit more conveniently.
Tip: for the front bolts, push the seat all the way back and down if you have power seats; for the rears, go forward and up for better clearance.
I opted not to remove the seats from the car and just tilted them back against the rear seat. You will have the sub grill in sight. It is held in place by four torx screws. Use your t20 key to remove them.
Now the sub is exposed.
Before I go any further, note that whatever you do, do not remove the trim piece on the door sill. It is a royal pain in the ass to put back on and you can get by without it. Trust me... I spent 30 minutes reattaching this thing.
Pull the foam carpet trim from around the speaker and from under the door sill trim piece. You will see yet another set of 4 torx screws holding down the sub enclosure.
Remove these with your t10 torx key.
This is optional, as you could replace the sub from here, but I chose to remove the enclosure. If you do not remove the enclosure, go down to the section about removing the sub from the enclosure after removing the white connector from the stock sub. If I were to do it again, I would leave the sub enclosure in place.
Now grab your socket/ratchet and pull back the carpet toward the far end of the enclosure to reveal two bolts you will need to remove.
Before you pull the enclosure, there is a loom of wire running the length of the side of the enclosure and the connector that need to be removed. For the wire loom, use a trim removal tool to pop up the two tie down bits holding it to the enclosure. These are tough to remove as they want to come straight up or not at all.
The connector is toward you and you can use a flathead to push in the pin and pull it out.
Now the more carpet you push away, the easier it will be to remove the enclosure. I found starting from the side with the two large bolts worked best for me.
Once you have enclosure out, you can remove the sub. Use your pick tool and insert it into the outer edges of the sub, curl it underneath and pull up to lift the sub out. You can see the seams along the connector terminal piece, where there is a gray seal strip underneath. Do not pry up the metal part held down by clips, but the edge just outside of that. (You can see the stock sub is 2ohms)
Some pics of the new sub...
The Jehnerts came with a spacer made of acrylic or Lexan which goes into the enclosure first, with the recessed wedge facing down to allow wires to pass underneath which will connect to the speaker leads.
For this install I chose to use the stock connector mated to the new sub spade terminals. The subs use a large and small male spade connector for negative and positive, but the bmw connector has two mini spade female connectors requiring half sized spade male connectors.
I had to mess around with the wiring to get it right. If you look at the stock sub, you can see it has an inverted design, so the polarity is backwards from what I expected. I would recommend wiring up one sub and listening before doing the second. The stock sub will tell you how to wire the replacement. It was pretty obvious I had positive and negative reversed when bass response was weak. I flipped the connections and everything sounded louder.
Anyway, lastly if you removed the enclosure, you will want to pop the white, rubber cushion back onto the enclosure. Pull this off the floor of the car, and clip it to the bottom of the enclosure.
Screw the sub and spacer into place, and wedge the enclosure with the new sub on the floor space where it was pulled from. Clip the connections in and do a listening test before wrapping things up.:party0030:

rattling in speakers during turns
I haven't changed anything in my car but recently I can hear a rattling coming from my tweeters in the front. It becomes more notifiable on the side of the car in the direction that I'm turning (turning right I hear it on the ride front tweeter). I read somewhere people saying it could be some mounts and bmw has felted pegs of some kind. Has anyone else had or heard about this? Could it just be something lose in there or do I need to change some new pieces?
Rear daylight driving lights
Hi guys,
I noticed that when I have the lights switch in auto (left-most position) during the day I have the led rings in the front on, but nothing at the back. Is this normal?
I would like to have some light in the back as well.
Thanks!

VIC intro
Hey folks
A quick hello, have been a member for a while. The information I've picked up has been amazing, many thanks. Have also been watching the F series roll out...can't bring myself to drive one just yet...
I have a 2010 e90 ZCP, picked it up over a year ago after a 530i, since then have done a few cosmetic mods and eagerly awaiting my diffuser :D
I use it as a DD, have been really impressed with it. Apparently it has a tune, no idea what is has though?
Hope to catch a few of the Melbourne owners.

Brake pad replacement advice needed
Hi all - just need a bit of advice regarding the replacement of the rear brake pads on my 330d e92.
They are quite low but the idrive says they have 11000 miles left... No chance! Bmw website says 169 to replace but I can get pads for 30 odd from euro car parts... Would there be any issues with me just buying the pads and getting them fitted at a local garage? Do bmw need to do anything special once they have been replaced a local place couldn't do? Lastly what's the deal regarding the wear sensors? Do I need to replace these? Do the tears have a sensor or each calliper as they only seem to come in singles
Thanks

Experience with aFe Pro Dry S drop in filter?
hey everyone,
Long story short, I have a hundred bucks (gift certificate) to spend on bavauto.com, so I was going through some of the stuff they sell for our f3x cars and saw that they have a drop in filter from aFe, called the Pro Dry S for about $70 dollars. Does anyone have any experience with this product? aFe claims the engine will be able to breathe easier and thus perform a little better. I also went forum surfing in some other forums and peoples feedback have been varied, some say its a great upgrade and some not so much. Anyways any info/tips/experience would be greatly appreciated!

Changing glow plugs on N57?
I've had a glow plug fault ever since I bought by 2009 330d. I replaced the control unit with a second hand item from eBay but the error remained along with the rough idle so I'm now going to replace all 6 glow plugs and fit a brand new control unit.
ECP states that these are the glow plugs for my car and the product code differs to the M57; has anyone bought these?
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=794938
Are there any guides to removing the manifold?

LM Fitment
Quick question on fitment for LM style wheels. I'm looking at a pretty decently priced set of LM replicas. The sizes are 19x8.5 and 19 x 9.5 with a 20mm offset both front and back. The hub bore is 74.1mm. Anyone know if these offsets will work? I have 12 & 15 mm spacers already if I need them. Also, if anyone has pics with this set up, I'd love to see them. The car is stock ride height and I doubt I'll lower it ( lowered cars just don't seem to handle as good IMHO). Thanks...
Tinted license plates- do cops care?
This is for PA/NJ/NY cops.
Do they pull anyone over for tinted license plate covers? I'm from PA so I only have a rear plate. My car looks amazing with the dark license plate cover and PA cops don't seem to care. I go to NJ and NYC quite often though and I don't want a "fix it" ticket.
Thoughts/experiences?

List of voice commands
Is there a list of known voice commands that are guaranteed to work every time?
I seem to have trouble finding an "official" list of how to address the system in a manner that it's programmed to understand.
Would you care to share your own voice commands that work properly every time please.
Thanks

Thanks.

Aftermarket Exhaust Questions
Hi guys - I installed a meisterschaft midpipe and an aFe axleback and the car sounds great now, but it's really quiet, I'm wondering what my options are to make it louder?
I don't want to replace the downpipe so that's off the table. I was considering having a shop just cut off the resonators from the midpipe and adding a straight through pipe to connect the axleback, but I'm not sure if sound quality will get worse without the resonators.
Other option is just selling the axleback and trying a different one that is louder?
Looking for some suggestions, thanks!

BMW Charger - recondition mode
Does anyone have the newer BMW Battery chargers (white labeled by CTEK MUS4.3) which have the recondition mode?
If so does the manual say anything about where to connect the charger when in recondition mode - to the battery terminal under the hood or directly onto the battery or remove battery and then condition it ? (if so would be reregistation be required?)

BMW taking deposits for the M2.
My SA called me today saying that they're now taking deposits for the M2. He didn't have any other info other than that...:confused2 Just an FYI if this is new news.
225/35/19 with 275/30/19
My tires in the front are 90+% thread left and the rears are to except the toe must be out of adjustment as the rear edge is almost done after only 5k miles which sucks on a brand new set of tires.
Right now i have 225/35/19 and 265/35/19 tires could i go with 275/30/19 in the rear on 230 19' rims?
