Plasti Dip in engine bay

Hi everyone,

I have been considering painting my engine cover on my car as the previous owner has some how scuffed it up real good and it currently looks like crap.

My question is has anyone ever used Plasti Dip in the engine bay area?
I am obviously a little concerned about the heat under the hood and was wondering if anyone else has tried it before and had any input on how it held up over time.

I've seen videos of people using this stuff on such things like exhaust tips and figured I would maybe give it a try.
I mainly wanted to try the Plasti Dip approach as I really like the fact that it is removable and if I am not happy with it and I change my mind later it can be peeled off, I also actually really like the textured finish of it as well.

What are some of your thoughts on this?
