Have you ever had this misfire issue?
I got an injector malfunction code on cylinder 6. When I looked at it I realized that my catch can line was not tightened properly and was leaking over cylinder 6. I cleaned the area and the misfire went away. I cleared the code and drove around for 30 min going into boost often and doing some wot pulls. No misfire.
I drive to work the next day and the misfire comes back. I pull the code and it is a misfire on cylinder 6. No injector code. I changed all of my spark plugs and changed cylinder 6 coil pack last night but the misfire persists. At first a cel would pop on for a second and then go away I had to drive around for a while for it to stick. Same code, cylinder 6 misfire. I get the engine malfunctioning warning when driving now too.
Now to me it seems like a boost leak but why is there no code for that? The misfire is most apparent at idle when cold, and it is just awful under load/boost. 1000-3000 rpm is bad. But above 3000 the misfire is not noticeable if I don't go into boost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
