I had trouble using the BMWhat full version app with the BMWhat wifi adapter on my E90 with an 04/07 build date. While browsing the iVini website, I found this info that should be on their homepage where everybody can see it because it contradicts what's stated other places by them. This is on their page for the Android cable adapter.
Important information regarding models built in 2007:
Usually the following models need a cable connection for coding if they are pre-facelift models built in 2007:
1 series (E81, E82, E87, E88)
3 series (E90, E91, E92, E93)
5 series (E60, E61, E63, E64)
7 series (E65, E66)
Facelift and LCI-variants of these models built in 2007 need a Bluetooth adapter for diagnostics, coding and parameters.
For E9x owners, what this means is if you have a pre-lci car, regardless of build date, you need an Android and cable. If your E9x is an LCI, you need either Android with bluetooth or ios with wifi. If I had known this, I wouldn't have wasted money on the ios full version app.
