Hey guys ! so today i started my car and it instantly died after 2 seconds and had a check engine...so no choice, i called a towing to bring my car to my usual indy shop. The shop scanned the and said it was the coolant temperature sensor that needs to be replaced. I said ok fine. After, he explained that he needs to change the thermostat also cause it comes together with the sensor....i was a bit skeptical since i dont think it comes together right ??? Also he said i wouldnt take a chance that fuel went into your oil because of the broken sensor so im gonna make an oil change....i asked are you sure its needed because i changed it last week and it cost me 100 cdn dollars.....so for after a little discussion he quoted me 585 cdn dollars tax and labor included for cooolant temp sensor , thermostat and oil change....
1- Is it true that it comes together ( thermostat and coolant temp sensor ) ?
2- Is it true i need to make another an oil change even if i made on last week because fuel could have leaked into my oil ??
3- is 585 cdn tax and labor included a fair price or i should ask for less ??
