WTB: brand new n54 injector

Will be good to see some other BMWs there. I went last time in July and even with heavy rain I had a lot of fun.
The day only costs $65 for driver or passenger and is organized in 30 minute sessions alternating between driver and driver+passenger sessions.
Notes:
- You need a helmet, get one with the AS1698 sticker. I bought a motorbike helmet as they are much cheaper than motorsport helmets.
- You need long sleeve shirt, pants(not shorts) and enclosed footwear. No flammable clothing (cotton preferred)
- No need for cams license
- No need for fire extinguisher
- If you have an N54 engine, make sure all the maintenance is up to date, weak stuff WILL break at the track! If in doubt, try a more conservative map to avoid overheating.
- Stock brake pads will begin to fade after around 2-3 hot laps on a dry, clear track. Better, more track ready pads should help this.
- Cooling might be an issue on some cars. If you insist on running aggressive tunes you will probably run into very high temps. Might want to invest in an additional oil cooler or better ducting (deleting fogs)
- Bring your factory tow hook and fit it before going through scrutineering. If you spin off the track and need to get recovered it will stop them from having to hook onto your control arms and potentially damaging them
- Might want to think about a mount for a camera if you want some cool footage. It's good to review yourself afterwards and you have a chance to improve. I made a custom mount that clamps onto the headrest. Works well with a Xiaomi Yi action camera. The 1080p image quality is pretty good and its less than $100. Audio recording quality sucks though. Can post pics of the setup if people are interested.
Make sure you fill up on petrol on the Hume at one of the big petrol stations, a lot of the rural stations don't carry 98 or E85. I would probably skip E85 mixing as it is a long drive and you don't really need more power on a tight track like Winton.
Note your insurance won't cover you on these days but as long as you don't drive like a dickhead you should be fine. Just overtake on the straights when it is safe, and keep a safe distance when following someone who doesn't know what they're doing. If its your first time, just concentrate on learning the track and taking the ideal racing line, don't be a hero and go all out.
If there is enough interest we can maybe meet up north of Melbourne and drive up to Winton together. It is around a 2.5 hour drive from Melbourne on the Hume. It is a good idea to go early if you want to score a good parking spot in the covered areas and set up a garage. If we go as a group then it would be good to bring a set of tools/jack/refreshments etc. Maybe meet up in Northcote at 6:00am and drive up to Winton together?
Meet at Coles Express Dalton Road Thomastown at 5:45AM for a strict 6AM start. If you are late, just meet up at Winton

Front axle broke the 3rd time
So i have an 08 E92 335xi and i replaced the front passenger axle for the 3rd time (In the shop after it broke again today) Turns out my bushings are shot and i have to replace the lower tension struts. Could this be the reason for my axle breaking these many times? This is the 3rd time in a 2 month span and I had it covered under warranty but it wont be the next time it breaks.
Last night I decided to do an impromptu launch in my car and I scored a time of 4.47 seconds to 60. ? Now I'm on OEM runflats and have only Custom Borla exhaust and BMS intake running on Cobb Stage 1 Aggressive. Decent run? How accurate are these times on the Accessport?

This is a base model steering wheel that has been recovered in Alcantara with BMW M tricolor stitching. The leather was removed and the padding replaced to increase the rim diameter to slightly larger than the sport model wheel. No cutouts for paddles. This is a great upgrade without the added expense of a full sport steering wheel conversion (new steering wheel, new airbag, new trim). Works with the standard base model airbag. For sale is the steering wheel only. Use your current base airbag and switches. Asking $350.00 shipped in the US.

L7 surround: check
The hot/moist air started coming off of the vent, and i stopped at the auto shop and got the R134a with the pressure guage.
I came home, left the engine on for more than 5 min, and i connected the hose to the low pressure part. It was showing 100 psi, and it was not moving at all.
When i turn off the snow flake sign, i can hear and feel the air stop for a second, and then air blows. Which i think the compressor is still working?
Anyone had the same trouble? I made appointment at pepboys tomorrow for the ac check, and i am just curious.
Thanks.

M3 speedometer coded and working
I wanted to share with you all the joys of having an M3 speedometer transplanted into your 335i. I had help from a new friend of mine in Texas with coding remotely! Awesome guy gave me features on my 335i that I didnt have before. Very accommodating! Here is a picture. If you are on the fence about doing this retrofit do it... its worth it!
Went to STS to mount my new non runflats and...
I called them, they said bring it down - after looking at them the manager did offer to send them out to get repaired -
I asked if they can also cover a rental, he said yes, but it won't be a bmw - maybe a Peugeot - he was joking a little
Just hope wherever they send them out they do a good job
Bummer - I'm sold I'd rather pay extra and have bmw do all the work
Can't depend on any Indy anymore doing quality work
Any ideas?

This is the Eyes on Design show and good information is here:
Any and all leads would be appreciated and you may contact me with a private message. This is a great opportunity to participate in our June 19th show held in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan at the Edsel and Eleanor Ford Estate. There are also a few other slots available for significant pre-1990 BMWs in our BMW 100th celebration category. Let me know what you have.
Thanks,

Pair of rear performance summer run flat tires for your BMW 335. Great used condition, no repairs, bubbles, or scuffs. Garage kept, never saw snow. Mfr date 2010. 60% of tread left. Get (2) for less than (1) new one costs. These came off a 2011 335 w/sports package.
Trunk amp for sub, remote wire.
Or why not use the already-spliced Left or Right sub speaker output that you are also going to use for the amp input?
I just don't like the idea of adding possible interference to one of the interior speakers, seems like there is certainly a wire somewhere in the trunk that supplies a voltage when the radio is on....maybe?
Any suggestions would be great.

My car has developed a steady "brrr" noise that increases as the speed increases and diminishes as the car comes to a stop. I got new summer tires yesterday. Yay! I had my winter tires on and I had been hoping the "brrr" was coming from them. I thought maybe they had some cupping. No such "luck".
So, the noise is coming from a wheel area or I'm afraid possibly the differential. It sounds like its coming from the right side of the car, but I can't tell for sure; however, that is the side I've thought it was coming from since it developed.
My thoughts are a wheel bearing or, my fear, possibly the differential. Any ideas or thoughts? Mainly I'm wondering if a differential issue would emanate a "brrr" type sound. Am I correct that a wheel bearing could make such a sound? I've had a bad wheel bearing once in the past on another car and to the best of my recollection this is what it sounded like. Am I remembering correctly that a wheel bearing and cupping tires make a similar sound?
Could it be the guibo? I'm right at 99k miles. Edit: I just listened to some guibo noises on YouTube and it doesn't sound anything like that.
I know we all hate these kinds of identify the sound threads. Thanks for you thoughts.

If you have a 2010 328i with halogen bulbs, can you buy new bulbs to replace the ugly halogen Halos? Is that all you need to do? I came across the LUX H8 160 bulbs and will that do the trick? If yes, are these the best bulbs you can buy now?
Here is a video I found with the installation for the LUX H8 bulbs:
I am going to be in Italy when the WSBK's are on at Misano, mid June, and I've had permission from the boss for us to go on the Saturday.
Can anyone who has been to Misano let me know if I need to purchase tickets prior or can you get them at the gate?
Best place to sit, etc?
Thanks

Update on my 335D
Well just spent a bit more on her today. Had the glow plugs and controller changed, swirl flaps have been blanked off and had the vac hoses replaced while they were in there. Was told it's worth doing while the manifold is off. Also ordered 2 new p zeroes for the rear from camskill. Next up is probably some interior trim upgrades as they are looking a little tired now, anyone know a good place to order them from. Also starting to do some research about an idrive upgrade, although reading about the process is a little daunting to say the least lol.
Besides, it would be fun to have an AWD M3 for the winter and a RWD M2 for the summer
I read somewhere on the forum that the FRM MODULE CAN BE RESET? Can anyone please point me in the right direction as to resolve this problem, as I DO NOT want to spent $1.000 or more on repair like this?
Any input and suggestion will be greatly appreciated!

As for e9x series there is a 330i e91 se high spec private only done near 100k no mention of history for 4750 looks ok.
Personally I would not touch a 1.8, 2.0i engine as they are pretty awful As well documented on this site.
A 2.5,3.0i n52 is a better option as long as it's been well looked after of course.
Have you seen that 1 on auto trader Defo worth a ring for the money high spec for a se. 4750.
ER CP (polished) for 2006-2009 (short version); (1) meth bung. Complete kit with Forge DV's (silver). Yellow springs installed w/out shims; green springs and shims included in original box. All hoses and T-Clamp. Quality (Conti/Rein) silicone hose for DV's. You'll need (8) 1" hose clamps; T-band clamp bolt has some surface rust but works fine. CP could use a little polishing compound to restore its lustre. $300 CONUS.

Does that sound alright to everyone?
Now, I'm used to the Bov sound but I need a second opinion?
Edit- no codes, no cel light present. I've done multiple wot and everything seems to be fine
330i 6MT jerks when going into first or second times.
when driving from 1st to second, imagine shifting 3k on first gear to second, and i let go of the accelerator, then press clutch, and the car jerks a little enough to feel the car, and make a clunky sound going to second as well.
Has anyone experiened this? and this happens all the time. driving then let go of the accelerator, then press clutch and boom car kicks/jerks/nothing too hard but like i said, bothersome.
Is this an indicator of anything? clutch isnt slipping, btw i just got the car about a month and a half ago.
148k miles, 6speed 2006 330i.
let me know if anyone goesw through this and if its normal. this only happens from first to second, and sometimes maybe 3rd, but shifts are smooth after 3rd. car hauls and drives great.
