Replacing the Halo's halogen bulbs to LED?

So I searched the site and found a few threads discussing this but they were all a few years old and I want to make sure I have this right before spending money.

If you have a 2010 328i with halogen bulbs, can you buy new bulbs to replace the ugly halogen Halos? Is that all you need to do? I came across the LUX H8 160 bulbs and will that do the trick? If yes, are these the best bulbs you can buy now?
