Weird story on how I got this diff- I have a Wavetrac in my 2007 335i that I have had for about 2 years. The place that built it, Koala Motorsports, is run by an uptight ****. Anyways, I guess I brought the my diff to him one too many times under the warranty for clunks, to which he attributed my rear end upgrades. This last time, he put a core he had from a customer with a 2012 e92 with only about 5k on it in my car to see if it still clunked. It did, ruling out the diff. Frustrated, he told to "keep the F(*&^ing thing and I will put your diff in the trunk. I don't want to see your face here again- you give other garages all the gravy but just come here for free warranty work!" :confused0068:
So, I drove it home, and paid another shop to put mine back in. Now I have this low mileage diff sitting in my basement. Anyone interested? I probably put less than 100 miles on it.
