Is it possible to shave down an offset on a rim?

I really want the HRE Flowform rims but with rear offset is too aggressive for my setup.



Is it possible to have the rear wheels shaved down 2-5mm? I assume this could lessen the structural integrity of the wheel. Furthermore, the wheels could be ruined if the shop messed up.



Am I crazy?:(
