Night Vision

Have had my new X5 for about a week and just tried both the Night Vision infrared camera and the auto high beams. Love both these features. Auto high beams is great for obvious reasons, wish we had the European version. I had thought night vision would just alert me on the heads up display if a deer jumped in front of me, and didn't realize a continuous infrared camera image would be shown on the control display. If you drive at night in deer country and have a passenger, it is much easier to monitor what is going on. Suddenly lots of things the headlight beams don't see are very clearly visible. I also noticed you could start a side business alerting your neighbors as to where their houses are leaking heat.



This is definitely no longer your Dad's BMW.
