I love my 335 but at some point it will need replacing. I would love something like a M5 but even though we could just about afford to run it there's no way my wife would allow me to waste that kind of money on a car....and to be honest she's much more sensible than me:).
At the same time I don't want a car that's slower than my 335, and certainly not a diesel. Been reading about the Tesla S, and it's seems like it's too good to be true. £6 to recharge, 300+ miles of range, seats 5, decent performance. Explored the idea of getting one at the weekend and my wife seemed happy, didn't even say anything when I mentioned I thought it cost £80k....So just had a play with the pricing options on the Tesla S
361bhp model, 321 miles claimed range, technology/satnav pack, 4 year servicing and winter pack...£64,000....The new M3 starts at £59k, yes you get an extra 80bhp in the M3 but all of a sudden the Tesla S seems a quite affordable, especially when you consider it's road tax free, and basically free to recharge.
My originally plan was to keep the 335 for 5 years+ but looks like maybe it'll be PX sooner rathe than later :)....Anyone else tempted by the Tesla S?
