FS: 2008 BMW 135i 6MT with full ///M Suspension

Exclusively listed and offered here on 1Addicts first. I'm hoping to sell to an enthusiast here on the forums rather than have to deal with the CraigsList back and forth and low-balling.

For sale is my Montego Blue Metallic 2008 BMW 135i (6-speed manual with the BMW Performance Short-shifter). I'm the original owner and custom ordered this car to my spec from East Bay BMW (see link below for full list of options). I have taken great care of this car and always parked it in a garage. The Interior is in exceptional shape. Vehicle was rear ended once at about 5mph which caused the lower diffuser to crack and be replaced, but otherwise no accidents. I have the full service history and paperwork and will gladly pass it on to the buyer of this car.

All after-warranty maintenance, service and work was completed by the renowned BMW specialists at Performance Technic of Pleasanton (performancetechnic.com).

Mods are as follows: Around 55k miles, the full ///M3 suspension was put on with Koni Yellow Sport adjustable dampers. For those unaware, the ///M3 bits consist of M3 upper and lower control arms, M3 convertible (thicker) front sway bar, M3 rear subframe bushings, M3 rear guide rods, and M3 rear upper link kit. The springs were left OEM. This suspension work was a major job consisting of many labor hours, and a total cost to me of over $4000.

The tail lights were updated to the 2012 LCIs, and the BMW Performance gloss black kidney grilles are up front. BMW SSK, clutch stop, and clutch delay valve (CDV) have been installed.

The engine has NEVER been modded or tuned and has always been completely stock. The major walnut blasting/intake valve cleaning and carbon removal service was done around 56k miles.

Please don't hesitate to message me with any questions about the vehicle. I'd be glad to explain any mods or service history. The vehicle has 81,000 miles currently. The asking price is firm, so please no low offers. I will gladly assist with shipping to anywhere in the 50 states.

Best Angel Eye replacements?

I'm looking for a light bulb/LED replacement for my daytime running lights. I tried the EAS LED replacements and they haven't lasted 4 months. Does anyone make a lasting replacement bulb/LED?

What are these parts worth to the dealer?

Hey guys, my local stealer offered to buy back these items from the 435i;

Std Kidney grilles - R1500 ($141 USD)

Suspension Squeak

In the endless saga of the M5 squeak, I have a question for the group I don't believe has been addressed. I have a 2014 LCI 3K miles. When I drive with the windows open over small bumps, I get a high pitched squeak. Interestingly the very same squeak comes as I brake to a full stop on a slope. It IS NOT a brake squeak but more of a chirp at the moment the car stops. The car has had all bushing lubed with no improvement. Windows must be down to hear. Sounds like a 71 chevy caprice. No offense to chevy caprice owners intended. Any one have some thoughts???

Love my wife (and my M3)

So, last night my wife and I were fortunate to have a rare night out. We went to a concert at Ravinia - an outdoor venue north of Chicago - and saw Darius Rucker. Great show. Driving home there was a car eager to engage. You know the type - weaving around other cars, etc. I saw him well before my wife did, but then she noticed him after a light or two. What happened next will carry me for a while:

Wife - "Is he trying to race you??"

Me - "Uh Huh."

Wife (after a second look at him and then back at me) - "Smoke him."

Me - "Really? - okay."

Being a 364 1/2 day a year responsible father of five who keeps his hard driving to the track, autox course and occasional empty onramp or country road, is sure was a gratifying quarter mile or so. Even more satisfying? - Knowing I married the right girl.

Happy Sunday everyone.

M4 vs 1M

I was at my BMW dealer to look at the new M4. I thought i might aswel take some pictures to compare the car.

I still need to make a test drive and see if the size makes a big change in handling. The wheelbase of the 1M is 2660 and the new m3/m4 is 2810.

Are there any more here who have driven the new m3/m4 and also have a 1M?

2 OEM Rear 19x10 Competition ZCP Wheels For Sale

Up for sale are a set of rear OEM ZCP Competition package wheels. These got scratched when mounting a set of tires, and were refinished to match the OEM finish exactly. These are near perfect, there is one little chip as noted in the pictures. I bought these with the intention of buying 2 more OEM rears to run a square set, but am going a different direction so someone else can enjoy them.

These are boxed up and ready to ship, and will do so quickly upon payment.

Each box is 22"x22"x12", 30lbs shipping from 43119 so you can estimate shipping.

Kidney grilles: Anyone got anything different in terms of colour?

Right, so basically I was considering the idea of changing up my kidney grilles. Currently got the standard silver, seen a lot of pure black ones and a couple with M colours on them but I want something a bit different and was wondering if anyone had anything other than these options?

This is such an amazing car

Went from f10 m5 into f80 m3. Already put 100 miles on her. What a blast. So much fun, so involved, unbelievable. I am so glad I got rid of the whale.

I will write a very detailed review soon once I have time as all I am doing is driving this car.

F10 M5 = Boeing 747

F80 M3 = F35

I think that says it all.

Help! Ate the Curb!

I was driving around a long corner yesterday and some prick turned into my lane and forced me to swerve right and I ate the curb going about 30-40mph.... Guy hit the corner and gunned it when he saw that he forced me to smash into the curb..... Both right passenger rims ate the curb (see pics below)... Alignment okay, no vibrations, no difference in drive afterwards.... Drove it the rest of the days about 50 miles..... No issues other then cosmetic.....

The next day as I am reversing and turn the steering wheel I hear a creaking noise coming from inside the dash/engine area as I turn the wheel... I have my brother get in and turn the steering wheel back and forth for me and I pin point the noise to the left strut mount (looking at the engine face forward) as I inspect it more I see that it seems to have cracked or something.... (see pic below)

Anyone can shine some light for me???? I heard a few people say I might need a new control arm... strut mounts... strut top hat... Some say they can see the spring just spin around.... I don't know.... I have to wait for my wheel lock key to come in the mail because I lost it and get my rims off to fix the freaking car lol....

Thank you in advance....

X4 wow

That car looks beautiful !!!

wheels?

I have read on here that you can't put concave or larger wheels on the 2 and that there aren't many available, but what about these on ebay motors? They apparently fir the m235i and are both:

or does it require some new offsets? Also, I have not idea what that even means.

Megan Racing Coilovers

I am thinking about picking up a set of Megan coilovers as a local guy is selling a new set cheap. Does anyone know what kind of height adjustment these have? I am currently on Swift springs and want the front about an inch lower than it is currently.

Any reviews from fellow forum members about these coilovers would be great too. Im in no hurry as my car is about to be stored for a while so any good or bad input would be appreciated.

Exterior: Paint is in very good condition. No rock chips on the bumper. Garage stored and paint was cleaned via claybar and waxed regularly. Bumper has never been drilled through for the front license plate holder.

Interior: Driver seat shows some normal creasing and wear for being 5 years old but has been kept conditioned regularly. The passenger seat shows little wear and little creasing. Back seats are nearly pristine and show very little wear.

Mechanically: Perfect, no issues whatsoever!

Imperfections:

-The bumper was recently repaired and repainted in January 2014 by BMW San Francisco (outsourced to German Motors of SF) after it was dinged up from a larger rock that tore through the clear bra and into the paint on the underside. Did not opt to replace the clear bra. The rock also damaged the oil pan which was also replaced by BMW San Francisco.

- Plastic undercarriage cover of the car is also scraped up and damaged from my driveway. This is the black plastic piece that covers and protects the undercarriage of the car that costs $170. With labor, no more than $400.

-All four wheels have some curb rash.

No accidents, clean title. Drives smoothly and problem free. All services were covered for the first 4 years by BMW and performed by BMW Sonnen in San Rafael or BMW San Francisco.

Having trouble uploading photos but you can view them on my craigslist ad:

All Warning Lights Came On

Yesterday AM when driving to the office in my 2011 328xi six speed, all the warning lights came on at once. This includes ABS, DTC, etc. Also, the speedometer and tach were pulsing on and off. And the turn signal would work only intermittently. The car ran fine.

I went to this site, and saw that others in the past had experienced the same problem. There were different solutions that people seemed to arrive at, and I wanted to relate what solved my problem.

The great service manager at my dealer (Capital Cities BMW in Albany, NY) made an initial phone diagnosis that the tire pressure sensing module typically triggers this type of event. He said that when the tire pressure information does not get thru, it then disrupts the rest of the computer information. So he said he would look at the car as soon as I could get it to him.

After driving to the dealer (I live in the sticks so it is 1.5 hours for me), it turns out that his diagnosis was correct, it was the tire pressure module. So they replaced it under warranty with me having to pay a $50 co pay. The car has about 55,000 on it. And they did a complete program update on the car so I understand that I have the latest software now.

So I am a happy camper. The car got fixed the same day (when does that happen?) It was under warranty. The service manager gave a correct phone diagnosis.

Hope this helps if any of you have the same problem.

What is considered high miles?

After being out of the 135i game for a while, I am looking to come back. I finally found an N54 with the options I want.

What would you guys consider "too many" miles assuming it wasn't flogged to death? This one has 65K on it.

The good thing is, it is a 1-owner car and is for sale at a BMW dealership.

wtb:I am look for 3m white vinyl

E9X M3 fitment - Ohlins

$2900.00 OBO - for some reason it didn't show up.

As title states - bought from Tightie and never used. System has a few thousand miles on it since he upgraded to another suspension before selling the car off.

[img]http://ift.tt/1lrIMHU]

Clean system - more pics upon request. Shipping is buyers responsibility. This is a highly rated system and from after doing a ton of research and reaching out to several members who have this system procured this immediately. Selling because I no longer need the system...other plans have cropped up!

Picking up my E90 320D on Saturday!

Hi Guys.

So a few weeks ago some idiot wrote my Audi TT off, which was a bit of a shame. I had put my money down on a Z4 Coupe, but with a wedding to pay for next year, and fuel prices going up etc, I saw sense and opted for a 320D M Sport saloon instead. Titanium silver, 163hp. (I know, i wanted 177, but hey ho)

Anyway, So I'm picking it up on Saturday, and heading straight for the local exhaust fitter to get that downturned pipe replaced with a couple of stainless tips instead.

Can anyone recommend any little last minute extras to get out dealers?? I've currently got them to extend the warranty to 2 years rather than 1, and £800 off the asking price. Any tips would be useful.

My family have had 3 series now, so know they're great cars, but wondered if there are any hidden quirks with teh E90 saloon?

Also just wanted to say hi, and will post some pics up when I get her home and polished and waxed.

2014 428X - better incentives in July ?

Picking up a 2014 428I X in a few days. Should I wait till July 1 to see if there are any better BMW incentive towards my lease? I'm getting the $1000 BMW offers now plus the $1000 Un4forgettable drive voucher.

Am I crazy?

Currently I have Meisterschaft Super GT exhaust paired with MS Test Pipe and I think it is too quiet, or maybe I'm going death :confused2 I am thinking of swapping out the full xpipe for the Akra GT4 Xpipe. I wonder how much louder this will get? Anyone done Super GT + aftermarket xpipe combo? :happyanim:

Why is my turn signal socket like this?

Ever since I bought the car a couple months ago, my driver's side orange corner light has been noticeably dimmer than the passenger side.

This morning I woke up and noticed my left blinker was blinking twice as fast, along with a warning for a burnt out bulb. After work, the warning went away and the blinker blinked just fine.

When I got home, I pulled the socket for the turn signal out of the headlight and found this:

The light is dim, but it works. I tried swapping bulbs, but the light is still dim. I swapped sockets and the problem followed the socket.

Why would it be like this? Is it a danger to continue to use this? :help:

Photo Request - DSBlue or Midnight Blue with Coral?

Hi,

Does anyone have a Deep Sea Blue or a Midnight Blue with a Coral Red Interior? Thanks

Where can I buy this in the UK?(terminal contact)

Only the head on the wire , I plan to make a microphone cable myself, I went to BMW today and those connectors with wires costs 2 pound each! It's going to be insane if you going to make a big connector with loads of pins in it :(

So anyone know where can I get it from?cheap one. Thanks

193M fit an '11 E92

So I want to pick up a set of 18" 193M's off a 335i and was wondering if I'd have any issues with clearance on an E92 328i. I'm on stock suspension at the moment but may drop down with a set of Eibach pro kit in the near future. Fronts will have 225/40/18 and rears 255/35/18 OEM sized tires.

Anyone happen to have pics of an E92 on 193M's? And would these wheels would be an issue because I'd rather not have to use spacers.

Thanks in advance!

M4 Convertible/torsional rigidity/good M car?

Hey,

Deciding between an M4 coupe and M4 convertible. Cancelled my order a couple months back for the M4 because I wasn't able to make up my mind.

I haven't found too many reviews going over the torsional rigidity of the F33 4 series compared to the E93 and how much better it is for cornering, but I see BMW states it's up 40%. I'm wondering whether it will be vastly improved in the twisties compared to the E93. Anyone buy a 428/435 convertible that owned the previous generation? Is it noticeably better or a wash?

I currently have an E93 M3 and an '11 GT3 RS. I just got rid of my E92 M3. I get the pure race car experience from the RS and it's not absolutely necessary to have a coupe but I do find the convertible lacking in the twisties and it does take away from the fun. Even during very hard braking its nowhere near as stable as the coupe which feels more agile. If it feels the same I would be hesitant to purchase another convertible again.

In short, I see the vert has lost ~100lbs with the manual transmission and is up 40% in rigidity, I'm hoping it will feel almost like the E92 coupe again (about 350lbs lighter --4050lbs vs 3700lbs).

Thanks.

New ignition coils - Amazon

I called the BMW dealer in Adelaide to inquire about new ignition coils - $107.50 each.

I then jumped online and found a pack of 6 (BMW OE made by Bosch) for US$170. Delivery to Aust is about $40.

It's an easy job to replace the coils. This is a no brainer - but I just want to make certain that the coils sold by Amazon will be compatible with my car (they're sold in the US for the N52 3.0L engine, whereas my car is the N52 2.5L)?

Test drove one in Owings Mills, MD

I just test drove the M4 that Northwest BMW has in Owings Mills. Silverstone with Silverstone interior. Fairly lightly optioned but still had LED lights and DCT. Also has the parking and side looking cameras but without the nannie stuff. I like that -- the little glove compartment where the nanny switches go is pretty cool. So, here is my take on the M4, FWIW. This M4 is still up for grabs, BTW. Kudos to Frank D. who let me take the car out. :happyanim:

The Silverstone looks really great on this car. I know, it seems boring. I thought so to until I saw it, but it looks better than on other cars. The CF trim looks better IRL than in photos too. In photos it just looks too shiny, but I am pleased to report that it actually looks very high class and really compliments the SS interior.

This one had no adaptive suspension but the ride was still very nice. I could certainly live with it, but I like having a real button where this one has a fake one, LOL. Unfortunately, I didn't really get to test out handling. There was too much traffic (Baltimore, go figure). But I did get to punch it twice. Of course, I tried to keep it under 5500 rpm. Still, the grunt above 5000 was very pleasing. Great way to scare passengers. ;)

Now, here's where I have concerns. I don't know if it was the downshift or turbo lag, but there was definitely a pause when putting your foot down. Even when downshifting with paddles. As far as turbos go, it is very little lag. But then, I don't have lots of experience with turbos. However, lag is still there. Does the sheer torque this thing have make up for the lag? I haven't decided yet.

The other thing is sound. It is definitely different than the E92 M3. It is louder, especially when getting into the throttle. However, it does have its own character and I think I can grow to love it. Just like the S54 in the E46 M3 with its rasp; at first it was a little annoying, but it grew on me to the point where I missed it when I didn't have it anymore. I think I could like the S55 growl even more than the S54 rasp.

Steering, well, nothing really to report. It's as good as the E92 M3. Not that the E92 M3 is all that great. But I loved it, as much as any Porsche I've driven. The steering wheel is typical BMW M. The interior seems more high class than the E92, and this one only had extended leather. Can't wait to see how the full leather feels.

All in all, yes, it is an improvement in almost all areas over the E92 M3. Just my humble opinion, if any is still interested.

Cheers,

Ersin

Musicarnw.com

For all of us bimmer owners, you seriously need to take the time out of your day and get in touch with musicarnw. They are based out of Portland, Oregon, but offer great advice and sell a huge selection of products. I had a question regarding a speaker setup in my 07 e93 and after talking with Kenneth Ward (audio specialist/enthusiast) for a good half hour, I now know everything I need to know about how to make my car sound like a concert hall. Oh and he also got me in touch with Technic. They have all your bimmer needs. Check them out!!

New tires on the front or rear?

Regardless of FWD or RWD? I'm curious how people will answer this. I know what's recommended based on studies looking at safety but I recently discovered a ton of misinformation out on the web. Much of it comes from people who claim to work at tire shops and dealerships and insist they're right without anything to back it up. My favorites are those who say "I've been a mechanic for years, it's this way, always!"

The number of people who insist they're right based on "common sense" compared to the entire tire industry and the DOT is rather amazing.

So what do you guys think?

Group Buy Feeler: CSL Trunk for LCI E90

I want a CSL style trunk and I'm finding it very hard to get in contact with multiple vendors about the status or availability of a CSL style trunk especially for the LCI model whether it be Carbon Fiber or FRP. So I see a lot of WTB posts for CSL trunks and I don't understand why one vendor can sell the trunk for $500 and the next wants $840 with no available stock. My dad owns a business and has relations with people overseas and works directly with a lot of suppliers not in conjunction with automotive though. Shipping for me to purchase a trunk in china or taiwan is about $400-$600 but it's in a pallet form crate so you can stuff as much or as little and it's the same price. A single trunk costs $630 shipped to USA with multiple you can get a quality trunk for relatively inexpensive these are the same trunks you're buying from select vendors guaranteed that's why they have no name brand and when asked they won't give you one but just where they are produced.

My solution:

-Group Buy of 5 people minimum is required more the people better the costs.

-PM me if your interested and ready to purchase ASAP. I'm not making a single dime off of this but just want an alternative to waiting for an uncertain amount of time for the trunks to be available.

-Payment is secure thru Paypal and you will pay the 3% as so will I to the vendor.

-Approximately should take no more than 3 weeks to deliver and no vendor can compete with pricing since I'm not charging anything extra I just want the trunk and willing to do a little leg work to make it happen.

-100% ebay feedback for years

Concerns w/ bumper lip height...

Picking up a 428I X next week and turning in my X1. The front bumper on the 428 is very low compared to my current X1. Are there problems with it hitting or scraping on curbs when going up or down inclined ramps like in or out of a pitched driveway or when parking head in?

I will have the Driver Assist Package, does the front bumper have the proximity sensors like the rear bumper to help when parking head in?

Thanks for any guidance

Do oil catch cans really work??

I'm going to get walnut blasting done on the car soon to get rid of the carbon build up on the intake vales, was also going to get an oil catch can to try and prevent more carbon build up....

But having read a few reviews am not convinced oil catches do anything to prevent carbon build up on the intake vales.

I know all about the 'theory' but have seen no real life proof of someone with an oil catch can installed and actually evidence it has prevented carbon build??

Anyone one got any firm proof (pictures of intake valves post catch can install) that oil catchs cans actually prevent carbon build up??

BSM Stock 320i.. for now..

Crappy photos, I know but they were quick snaps from my phone. I know she needs alot of work but time is a limiting factor. It's a 320i at the price of an M3 over here, with a four banger but it's good enough for now. Let me know your opinions please.

So far what I've done:

Flat black kidney grilles.

M3 replica trunk lip.

Tinted sticker on taillights and headlights (I'm not sure I like the headlights)

Coming soon:

White angel eyes (they're on the way)

Exhaust system (torn between Remus and Supersprint)

Need Help.. 2C2D code.

I've tried searching and came across one other post that didn't get any replies.. Boost feels fine in first but once I go to second it's like I'm N/A.. Code was 2C2D "Lambda probe in front of catalytic converter, thrust control"

Anybody have this problem?

Fs: E92 M3 2008 Sg/blk (incredible Deal!)

Welcome, I am selling a space gray 2008 BMW m3 with about 90k miles. However, this is an excellent car and I will give you the plus and minus. It is priced to move fast because I decided to move to a porsche and I have limited time to sell. Otherwise i'd probably ask a bit more.

Pros:

-Car is incredibly clean for a 90k mile example; detailed engine bay and kept immaculate, no one ever rides in this thing.

-Mechanically sound; has two brand new throttle actuator valve (maybe 10k miles on them at most). This repair/parts/time would cost around $3,500 from a dealership (that is what I paid BMW of Austin for their parts and services) and is a common failure on M3s past 80k miles or so. The engine should be bullet proof at this point for a long while. Other examples you could buy for 8-10k more at 60-70k miles will have a decent chance of replacing these parts soon anyways.

-Interior is really cool; black leather and carbon fiber accents just make the car feel mean

-Exterior trim (usually chrome, ugly) is all replaced with OEM matte black and black chrome peices, including hood vents. Creates a mean but classy stock look.

-HR pro springs installed, gives a more aggressive stance but 0 rubbing.

-Comes as pictured with 18" Apex Arc8 track style wheels. They fit the BMW logos well, and look stock. I get tons of compliments on them and they weigh much less than the stock performance package 19" wheels, which will also be included if you wish (will need to get them from Houston and might take me a second to ship).

-Tires have 10k street (0 track) driven miles, 18" Potenzas

-Has DCT transmission

-Disabled the side seatbelt assist arms because I thought they were tacky (currently throwing a seatbelt code as shown in picture, just anoying will be easy to remove)

-No/little noise; car sounds almost like a new example which I hear is rare out of high mileage M3s.

-MDM package (better traction control in M mode basically if that is your thing) and Carbon Fiber roof.

-All services performed and up to date

-Navigation works well

-AC is super cold

-Heated Seats work well

-Comes with un-installed BMW Alcantara Performance wheel with programmable buttons and the cool RPM meter on side, really neat just never installed it!

CONS

-Cup Holder on driver side is sort of stuck; can be pulled open and used but spring probably broken, needs a bit of tlc or dealer can fix probably easy.

- Has 2 small scratches on driver side door from a car door, also has some scratches near driver side vent on front fender, probably will buff out easy, but must mention. You can kind of see in pics attached (many of them).

-Back bumper has slight hairline crack from parking lot bump (cannot see until up close)

-Road Rash on front left rim, could re-paint easily.

-Small scratch on Carbon Fiber trim on passenger airbag side

-Error code as listed above for the seatbelt assisters disabled, easily corrected if you wish by a dealer

-back right tail light has slight bump hard to tell unless very close

-Car has been in an accident front end damaged, Apron was welded. From having BMW Austin look at it for its most recent vehicle inspection, and professionals in Houston I had evaluate it for a trade in at Texas Direct Auto, the car does not exhibit any issues from that; it was a clean professional repair by Eurotech in Killeen Texas. The ride is superb but I mention this to be as honest as possible!

Please direct any questions to my email, jameslathrop28@yahoo.com. I check it all the time and can correspond through text message to work a deal out if your interested in a test drive/ride with me! Let me know!! THis is a true enthusiasts car with two sets of wheels, performance steering wheel, awesome interior package, and all the exterior improvements you would want to make it not look tacky. Plus you don't have to worry about your Throttle Valve Actuator going bad! I'm also open to allowing you to take it to any authorized BMW professionals to do a PPI. Please email me I need this gone fast!

Cost: 29,000 OBO, needs to go fast!

Looking for a set of clean speed cloth seats front and rear to trade for my leather. My seats have about 20k on them. No damage no pets no kids. Very good condition.

Instrument Panel Scratch - Repair Options

I have a considerable scratch along my instrument panel, directly in view various visual items. Not exactly sure how it happened, but I noticed a day after wiping the interior). It sucks, and I want to a least reduce the visibility of damage.

I'm looking for inputs on repair or replacement options. I'm guessing a mild abrasive/compound might work, with careful masking of surrounding areas? For replacement, I wouldn't imagine the part would be expensive (unless you have to purchase the entire cluster), but exchanging it could be difficult. Thanks for any feedback.

Door open warning?

Hello folks!

I have for about a month now issues with the door open warning. It warns for the left backdoor. The warning can come on for 10 times while drivning. The warning on the display just come on for a second. And it beeps one time. Also the interior light can come on for a secound. And sometimes the car tries to lock it self when the doors allready are looked. I think it all started for about two months ago. I noticed that the cars settings in the info display was reset.

Someone has a clue what it can be? The car is an 320D -2009

535i Battery warning light!!

Hi,

I don't understand why am I getting battery warnings for it discharging? The car doesn't even have a total of 10,000 miles yet. How can I fix that? Is it covered under BMW warranty? If I need a battery charger. Does BMW provide that under warranty or is that on our own expense? Is there a quick fix for this without involving the dealer?

Thanks for reading this post and your help.

Should I get the extended Maintainence?

My CPO 2011 M3 is at 45,500 miles right now and I am getting near the end of the standard warranty and maintenance coverage. Chatted with Jeff Steel at Passport the other day on prices and he gave me a good price. Was just wondering if I should bother spending the money on it or not? Also I heard something about a CPO wrap in which adds another year of warranty, does anyone know about this as well?

what would ours do if 4 wheel drive?

I never cease to marvel at how fast my stock M6 is but I have to wonder how much faster it would be if it was 4 wheel drive. Half a second? Is that outrageous? I have soooo much wheel spin in first and second I have to think it would be a huge difference no?

F30 or VW MK7 GTI

Im going to be purchasing my next car in a couple weeks. Saying goodbye to the MK6 GTI so I'm trying to get others opinions and thoughts. The MK7 w/ the autobahn package sounds tempting. It basically has all the options i can get in a luxury car. But you gotta love those BMW engines!. I know that these two cars are night and day comparing apples to oranges and may get bias opinions since this is the BMW forum. :party0030: What are your guys thought? Anyone going through the same situation?

I've gone through several cars through the years, so heres a little background on my taste. 96 Acura Integra, 05' Mercedes C230, 06' Honda S2000, 07' BMW 328i, 11' VW GTI.

19" 437 M style Option?

Response to Michelin Pilot Super Sports

I just had a full set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports fitted to my 1M after a long road trip and at ~22,500 miles

The tires are not broken in so I cannot comment on their performance but on my M roadster I did not like them nearly as much as the PS2s and when I nailed the accelerator in the coupé yesterday I got a flicker from the traction control light.

I see lots of folks loving the PSS as a road tire, but so far in two applications I am underwhelmed by them.

I'd be interested to hear other comments.
