X5 50i first impressions after two days and 150 miles :)

Took delivery of my X5 on Friday after a 7 week wait. My spec is 50i M-sport, Space gray with white/black dakota, 469m wheels, DHP, executive pkg, driver asst plus, ACC, LED lighting. Thought I'd post some first impressions for anyone still shopping or just to compare notes. For perspective, I have driven Hondas as my daily driver for the last 10 years ( an 05 and an 09 Pilot), and have an 04 Boxster S as a weekend toy. The X5 is my first BMW. I have 150 miles on it in two days. Amazing how a new car makes you willing to run any mundane errand right away.

Overall first impressions- of course, I love it! The engine is just phenomenal. There is actually a little turbo lag as you tip into the throttle, but then the thing takes a breath and just rips. Went out Saturday with a friend who has a 535xi sedan and who knows cars very well. When I gunned the X5 a bit from a light his reaction was, "Something this size should not be this fast". The power is just there all the time, and I really like that.

Some specifics:

Comfort Access, soft close doors, surround view- already getting lazy and spoiled by these. CA takes keyless entry to the next level, and the soft close doors are handy when you are crowding the curb in a prime parking lot end spot to be sure no one dings the passenger side. Surround view makes manuevering in tight spaces a cinch.

Throttle calibration- it seems like the Japanese and the Germans approach electronic throttles differently. I am still getting used to the X5 and I sometimes get a little too much gas or not quite enough. Had the same issue with the Boxster at first, but my Pilot always seemed to rrspond perfectly. Its weird, but its probably just me getting used to the way it feels under foot.

Steering- as others have said, it is light and vague. It feels like you never quite know what the front end is doing. It doesnt seem to me that DHP or the sport setting has any effect on this, and i am not sure if it is supposed to or not. Its ok though, this is not a sports car after all.

There's lots more to say but this post is too long already. Have attached a couple of pics, but the light was fading and they are not great. Will post more as the miles add up, but I have no regrets at this point. Thanks! Aaron in Denver

Vrsf downpipes

Hey guys I just ordered a set of downpipes from vrsf how long will it take for me to receive it? I ordered it yesterday..

KARMA strikes...

So last night I was causally browsing through forums and posted on the thread "anyone not have any 335i problems" saying my car has been fbo for a year now and no problems. This morning I go get ready for work try unlock my car, nothing happens.. Strange, must be a dead key fob. I go and switch key fobs still nothing. so i take out the key from the key fob and manually open the door to see my hazard lights button flashing continuously, cant turn car on at all and damn car wont give me my key back. So i did some searching online and this guy had the exact same problem and said it was due to a faulty alarm. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=749198

So.. my question would be, the alarm will most likely stop once the battery is dead. If i replace the battery, will my car still be going crazy or is the alarm system going to reset?

Sorry for the rant... typical mad bmw owner :mad0260:

320D stopped working

Hi,

I have a problem. My 2007 320D just stopped working for no apparent reason, here's a short timeline:

- was not driving it for a couple of weeks

- was standing outside in the cold (up to -12C at night)

- had to move the car out of the way yesterday (a few meters only) and noticed some squealing noise but just thought it might be because of the cold and just needs to get warm

- wanted to go out today (minutes ago) and was warming up the car a bit before driving

- looked for the source of squealing sound and found out that it was coming from the back of the car (exhaust maybe) - most noticeable from under the car closest to rear right wheel

- after a few minutes the far just shut off (some warning sign of the car with arrows to front and back came up and then just ! mark)

- can no longer press the break pedal to start the car normally (auto box)

- car start without break pedal being pushed (should not do that under normal circumstances) and shuts off immediately

Battery is new, glow plugs new, etc. Car was starting up without issues before this. Any idea what might be wrong?

The only fault code I was not able to get rid of was:

46D3 - Internal ECU 4 / Internal Control Unit 4 / Control unit internal 4

Carpe Weathum

Sunny and 55 in Chicagoland today, so the wife and I took out Zed for a couple hours. Any one else "seize the nice day"?

Not a happy bunny :(

Had the car 3 days.

Dent found in bonnet when I got it home.

Had it first proper ride today, ride was appalling. Crashed over everything in sight. Worried at first it was down to the 20" wheels but I've now just found the transport blocks in both the front shocks. Was not best pleased with the dealer before I got the car post delivery is even worse!

Could any damage have been done driving the car in this state, felt like the windows were gonna pop out. :(

Anyone around Glos to help with trim removal?

Hi Guys

Just wondering if any forum members in or around Gloucestershire are able to help me remove and fit a new set of interior trim to my E92, I'm struggling with it and its driving me mad! Especially the centre console ashtray lid removal

Changing wheels

My car is currently having a little work done so I can't check, but I presume there's no jack due to the rtf tyres? I'll be changing over to my winter wheels when I get it back - if no jack in the boot presumably there's an obvious point I can safely use my trolley jack?

Questions about aftermarket seats

Hi everyone, I am looking into getting an aftermarket set of reclining bucket seats, more specifically a set of Corbeu CR1's with heated seat function and lumbar support (a friend is giving me an absolutely insane deal on them). But before I pull the trigger, I had a few questions I figured I should ask beforehand.

1. Will I get any error codes from installing the seats?

2. How do I get my passenger side airbag to stay armed now that the sensor is gone, is the sensor transferrable to the new seats?

3. My car has heated seats from the factory, so would it be possible to wire up the seat heaters to turn on and off with the OEM buttons?

4. Is there anything else that I need to know? I've never bought a set of aftermarket seats before so I really know nothing about them.

Thanks in advance!

The Angry Neighbor Loud Cold Start Video with Voice for Reference

I noticed just how loud these cars are upon cold start (with stock exhaust) once we got ours redelivered. Some friends wanted a reference video so I decided to take a video.

It begins with me counting in a normal inside voice. My wife cranks my M3 completely cold while I continue counting in the same normal conversational voice. I'm counting all the way until the end of the video. I am completely inaudible during cold start but as it warms up you can start to hear me.

Hopefully this is helpful to anyone who has yet to buy or get their order. These cold start as loud as most of my past cars did with aftermarket exhausts. Maybe even louder. Definitely louder than my turbo NSX. I wouldn't be surprised if we had some neighbors complaining :)

My experience with smoked reflectors. . .

Like many of you I was none to fond of the orange reflectors we have in our front bumper, so my first attempt to alter the look was to buy the smoked overlays. While they looked okay, they had an issue with the Arizona heat and would not stay affixed.

Not wanting to spend $50 or so for the replacement smoked reflectors from the more reputable suppliers, I decided to order some through eBay for around $20. Keeping in mind I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for, I simply could not imagine there could that much difference in quality for a simple reflector... but I was wrong.

The eBay reflectors, aside from not fitting snug into the opening had a very poor adhesive backing and despite the fact I cleaned the back of the bumper very well they kept partially popping out. So a few weeks ago, I did what I should have done in the first place and I ordered smoked reflectors from Bimmian.com. The fit, the finish, and the adhesive backing of these reflectors are far superior to the cheaper version I ordered from eBay, and I would say the quality even rivals that OEM.

So the moral of this store is, my $50 reflectors have now cost me $88, party on!

Parking assist

I know this has been discussed..but I have read some good things on this and was wondering why anyone wouldn't order it since it is only a few bucks more per month in a lease...and if it in fact can help save the curb rash from destroying our wheels,...why not? Any thought s on those that have it?

steering wheel vibration over 70 E93

Hi all -

Quick Turkey Day inquiry. :)

My brother has a E93 that is getting steering vibration at highway speeds over 70 MPH. The dealer he took his car back to replaced a wheel which was bent and test drove and ignored the vibration which was till there (although a little less). He's obviously going to take the car to another place but wanted to see what you all thought the issue could be so we can help guide the diagnosis.

Thanks!

AW E92 M3 Fox Red Extended

Looking for an Alpine White BMW E92 M3 6 Speed MT with Fox Red Extended interior. Will consider of the DCT as well.

Winter tire dilemna! (Wintersport vs..) [long]

I have a old set of wintersport 3d's on my e92 m3 that I've actually driven on all summer (and last winter!). I didnt really love them in the snow (ie they pretty much suck) but they are amazing dry traction winter tires. They are actually good enough to not even think much about in the summer and perhaps even a little more fun to drive than oem because I can slide the rear around easier in the dry.

Anyway, I looked at my fronts and said.. I think I can get another season out of them, so I went and ordered a pair of Dunlop wintersport 4d's for the rear to get me through this season. Thanks Tirerack!

We just had a snow storm here in NY and I gave the old tires a try (Havent mounted the new 4d's yet) and I definitely need to replace my fronts too. So I went to Tire Rack to get two more and they're sold out there, and everywhere else I can find. My size (on square setup VMR 710 aftermarket rims) is 245-40-18.

The part that confuses all of this is that I just put a full set of ws-80's on my wife's es350 and drove in the snow all day yesterday. Thanks Tirerack! It handles very well, but I cant really tell if the tires are mushy because, well, its a lexus. I was actually considering putting a couple of those tires on the rear and keeping the 4d's for the front. This way I get the "dont get stuck traction" of the ws-80 but perhaps retain a bit of road feel and cornering stability with the 4d's up front. I am ok with the fact that it will under-steer in the snow (I used to be a track-rat, so I'm comfortable with car control).

So, I am wondering what to do now. Do I return the two 4d's for $30 and get a set of Blizzak lm-32's? Do I just buy a pair of lm32's for the rear?

Or a pair of ws-80 for the rear! I sort of wish there was a tire in the middle of the lm32 and wintersport 4d. I've read that maybe ws-80 just might be that tire, but tire rack only lists the RFT in my size, which sucks, right?

Thanks for any suggestions or tips. I'm very interested to hear from folks that retained a performance winter front and more studless heavy duty winter rear setup on their m3.

Anyone know anything about aFe Turbo-back?

Was perusing vendor specials on the forums and say that x-ph has an aFe turbo back exhaust for 2550 bucks. I didn't know this exhaust existed and was wondering if anybody has tried it or has heard it. I mean it just seems to really fit the bill that most people have been looking around for a solid turbo/cat-back for less than 3k.

Doesn't look like theres any valves or anything so it would be loud all the time and possibly drone-y but it may be something im interested in solely on a price standpoint.

**BPMSport** - Black Friday/Cyber Monday Sale - Tune/DCT/Test Pipes

www.bpmsport.com | info@bpmsport.com | 1-(888) 557-5133

Black Friday Sale!!!

Valid Through: 12/01/2014

Holiday Pricing:

10% off from our E9X Stage I/II Software

15% off from our Engine Tune & DCT Software Package

10% off from the purchase of Test Pipes & Tune Package

*We will also supply a 2015 Map Update Code with the purchase of performance software!*

*Feature Coding can be applied along with your discount code under the order options.*

We offer two tuning stages available for the E9x M3:

Stage I is for lightly modified vehicles without changes to the primary catalysts.

Stage II is tailored to vehicles that have changes to the primary cats - such as an Akra system, high flow cats, test pipe/catless, etc..

Updatability:

You have the option to upgrade from one Stage to another in the future if your plans for the car change. Stage II upgrades and file changes cost $150.

Software Update to 240E:

At BPMSport, we like to base our files off of the latest BMW Factory Software. This way any improvements that have been made to the operating code by BMW Engineers are incorporated into your tuned software. Before flashing you with our performance software, we will update you to the latest software version available from BMW. You can elect to stay on your current software level, although we do recommend taking advantage of this update.

Both Stages of our Performance Tuning Software Include:

- Selective mapping of the throttle response in Sport mode

- Selective mapping of the throttle response in Normal mode

- Raised RPM Limiter (Nmax) to 8,500 or 8,600 RPM

- Removal of the Top Speed Limiter (Vmax)

- Vanos changes for increased smoothness, better drive-ability, and power

- Fueling and ignition timing changes suited to your modifications and octane

- Optimization of ECU Torque Management and Control Parameters

- Elimination of the Cold Start Routine (Makes the car smoother on cold starts)

- Cold start rev limit reduction (to keep your engine happy and prevent revving too high when cold).

- Launch Control Assist for 6MT vehicles (definable at 3,000 - 5,000 RPM)

You will experience smoother drivability, much better overall engine response, and performance increases in horsepower and torque, aside from the long list of other goodies.

All software does not tamper with emissions settings. Stage II Tunes and files with cold start disabled are for OFFROAD use only. Please contact us directly with any questions regarding emissions requirements.

The price of the tune includes the specially designed tuning cable. The software and cable are extremely easy to use, and we're happy to provide remote support over the computer or phone. Customer service and excellent products are our number one priority.

With the software, you will be able to:

- Easily flash the vehicle back to stock (this is not necessary when going to the dealer)

- Easily flash in tuned files from BPMSport + potential future updates

- Check your current installed software version

- Read and clear engine fault codes / service engine soon lights

- Check if the dealership reflashed your vehicle with stock software

Horsepower and torque gains are dependent on modifications, environmental conditions, and fuel quality. Our tune will safely extract what is left on the table. Unlike other companies that focus on full throttle only, our software has been carefully crafted to create an undeniably pleasurable driving experience in part throttle (which is where you spend most of your driving!).

Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) Software:

Drivability Benefits:

- Updates you to the latest DCT changes from BMW

- Smoother shifting in normal modes

- More aggressive shifting in higher drivelogic modes

- Remapped shift patterns depending on drivelogic mode

- Less clunky and unsmooth downshifts when stopping

- Faster more precise and smoother downshifts

- Less lag when engaging reverse

Additional Features:

- Vehicle starts in Drive instead of Sport

- Drivelogic Shift Mode Program Memory in Sport Mode

- Optimized Launch Control parameters and launch RPM

With the software, you can:

- Update your vehicle’s transmission software to the latest version from BMW

- Flash the vehicle back to stock programming

- Flash the vehicle to the performance software

Feature Coding:

You can also add feature coding with the purchase of a tune. The option to add feature coding can be applied under the order options using one of the links below. The discount will also be applied to feature coding.

You will also need a coding cable for the remote session. If you don’t already have one, you can purchase it through us at a discounted rate.

HRE FF01 and offsets

hi guys.

i did a search and it seemed to confuse me more. I'm new to wheels and understanding offets. Thought I would post here for help. I'm looking at the HRE FF01, and the following was recommended.

front: 19x8.5 et30 235/40-19

rears: 19x10 et40 255/35-19

The car will stay on stock suspension. Can anyone advise on how these will look? I found some conflicting info saying that these spec wheels do not sit/look right on stock suspension.

I want to firm up the handling of my 2011 e92 coupe. Car has 41k miles and its time to start upgrading. What are a few basic things I can do to make the car more firm and direct? I simply want to improve the handling and give it a more sporty feel in the twisties.

Thinking about trading my 335 for m3

Hey guys trying to get some input. Ive had my 2011 335i e90 CPO which i bought used for almost two years now and I love it. However I've been really thinking about trading it in for an e90 m3. My e90 right now has whatever the luxury package was. Its fully loaded minus the sport seats and mtech body kit. Has everything else. Its tuned, full exhaust, coilovers and a few other mods N55 engine. I have an e46 m3 and everytime i get into my 335 i just feel a lack of sportiness and excitement i get from my e46. Don't get me wrong, it's certainly fast with all the mods but it's just missing that M feel.

I've had my eye on an e90 m3 car at a local bmw dealer for a couple weeks now and I plan on test driving it this weekend sometime. 1 owner. Let me know what you guys think as far as price/value/etc. Thanks!

Rubber mounting pieces on N54 water pump

Hi all,

I was working on the thermostat & water pump on my 335i yesterday and I found out that I lost one of the rubber mounting pieces of the water pump. I was replacing just the broken thermostat. My car (45k miles) is still running on the original pump and it's fine. I just need to buy 1 rubber mounting piece where the aluminum bolts would be in (this design is only for the old pump, the new ones don't have this rubber thing). Anyone knows where to buy it?

For picture, please look below:

Couple Sound Clips with VRSF DPs and Vanguard Exhaust

I remember when I was searching for this combo I didn't find very many...

Decided to mess with the iPhone camera and got these two clips, hopefully it can help some decide!

The sound is quite deep and is fairly loud according to friends, females, parents and such, but they also all said it's not obnoxious.

Thanks for watching! :thump:

Denon Avr-3312ci

Changing receivers, so this one needs to go to a good home.

Specs below. Unit comes with receiver/remote/and microphone for fine tuning.

Product Description:

With a vast array of connections and its numerous output capabilities, the Denon AVR-3312CI is the receiver you want at the center of your home theater system. It features 7 channels each rated to output 125W of high-quality audio as well as network functionality including AirPlay and the Denon Remote App, and even auto setup with an included microphone. Plus it's backed by a three-year warranty!

From the Manufacturer:

With its vast array of inputs and network functions, the Denon AVR-3312CI 7.2-Channel Integrated Network A/V Receiver puts you in command. As the flagship model of the IN-Command Series, this receiver sets a new standard in 3D, Blu-ray, game console, and other entertainment device integration. It features seven discrete 125-watt channels of equal power, dual subwoofer outputs, and multiple high-resolution audio formats for superior surround sound. It also supports HDMI v1.4a, so you can get the most out of 3D content. Enhanced by digital network audio/photo streaming capabilities, including support for AirPlay, mp3/WMA/WAV and FLAC HD audio, and Windows 7 compatibility, the AVR-3312CI is a solid foundation for your networked home entertainment system.

Superb Surround Sound with Dual Subwoofer Outputs

Fully compatible with current HD audio formats, the Denon AVR-3312CI 7.2-Channel A/V Receiver provides powerful, theater-quality surround sound. The vibration-resistant construction thoroughly suppresses the adverse influences of vibration on sound quality, ensuring maximum audio performance with multiple technologies:

Equal Power Amp Design: Each of the AVR-3312CI's seven 125-watt* channels is powered by its own discrete circuit. This allows the receiver to reproduce original sound more faithfully than conventional models, which use integrated circuits.

Dual Subwoofer Outputs: An additional subwoofer output proves especially useful in large room settings where one subwoofer may not provide adequate low-frequency output.

High-Definition Audio Support: In addition to Denon's proprietary Dynamic Discrete Surround Circuit-HD and AL24 Plus processing technology, the AVR-3312CI features support for Blu-ray high-definition audio formats, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. These formats play back sound with exceptional fidelity, providing a more realistic listening experience.

Dolby Pro Logic IIz and Audyssey DSX: With the option of two additional height channels, these features add a vertical dimension to the soundstage, providing more immersive surround sound. Audyssey DSX adds the option of width channels to dramatically open the soundstage for a more theater-like sound.

Audyssey MultEQ XT Support: Audyssey technology helps create an optimal acoustic profile for your home theater by resolving finer details in the response, particular in the low-frequency range. Using the included calibration microphone, Audyssey MultEQ XT measures sound levels and adjusts speaker configuration accordingly, making setup fast and easy.

Multi-Zone/Multi-Source Playback: The AVR-3312CI lets you enjoy a program source in the Main Zone (the room where the AVR-3312CI is located) and in two other rooms. The source can be the same for all zones, or you can enjoy three different sources in those zones if you prefer. Use the Denon Remote App to control all the zones from anywhere in the home.

Full HD Support

With seven HDMI inputs, the AVR-3312CI allows you to route multiple high-definition devices--like game consoles and Blu-ray players--to your TV. It also allows you to connect all of your devices to your TV with a single HDMI cable, reducing cable clutter.

Vivid 3D Visuals with HDMI v1.4a

The AVR-3312CI comes equipped with HDMI v1.4a, allowing you to make the most of several premium video features:

Denon AVR-3312CI 7.2-Channel Integrated Network A/V Receiver

Quick Select buttons let you select video and music sources effortlessly. View larger.

Denon AVR-3312CI 7.2-Channel Integrated Network A/V Receiver

3D Pass-Through: With the advent of 3D media, it is important to own a receiver that recognizes 3D video signals. The AVR-3312CI is able to pass through 3D signals from your Blu-ray player, ensuring that the 3D effect doesn't get lost in translation. It also recognizes signals from 3D television broadcasts.

Audio Return Channel: HDMI v1.4a also features Audio Return Channel functionality, which allows for audio content from your display to be played back through the AVR-3312CI via the single HDMI cable that goes from the receiver to the display. This eliminates the need for separate audio and video cables running from your TV to the receiver.

Auto Lipsync Setting: The convenience of Auto Lipsync allows you to eliminate annoying sync issues caused by digital transmissions. This feature automatically compensates for timing shifts in video and audio outputs to bring picture and sound in sync.

Deep Color and x.v.Color Support: The AVR-3312CI also supports Deep Color and x.v.Color schemes, which can display a larger color range than standard-definition schemes. The result is a more lifelike, vibrant picture.

Enhanced Network Capability and iPod Connectivity

When connected to a network, the AVR-3312CI lets you listen to Internet radio, play audio files, and display images via an Ethernet connection. The receiver also supports AirPlay, which allows you to stream music wirelessly from an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or iTunes. Or, connect an iPhone/iPod/iPad directly to the receiver with a USB cable.

With the Denon Remote App installed on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, you can perform basic operations, like turning the AVR-3312CI's power on or off, adjusting the volume, and switching sources.

FLAC HD Decoding

For serious audio enthusiasts, FLAC HD decoding support provides for the ultimate playback of your high-definition music files. A compressed audio restorer guarantees that playback of any compressed audio files, such as MP3, WMA, and AAC, is crisp and clear.

Supports Pandora, Flickr, Rhapsody, and More

The AVR-3312CI is DLNA v1.5 Certified and compatible with Windows 7 for audio and photo streaming, as well as giving you convenient web control. This receiver provides online support for Pandora, Flickr, Napster, and Rhapsody, allowing you to enjoy a wide variety of online digital content at any time.

GUI Overlay and Remote Control for Simple Operation

With its programmable functions and intuitive button layout, the AVR-3312CI is designed for ease of use. The front panel is smartly organized and features a two-line fluorescent display, clearly labeled buttons, and onboard controls for volume and source. In addition, its on-screen display with overlay on HD and 3D sources provides quick information about your system's settings.

The AVR-3312CI's pre-memory remote control with Glo-Key and on-screen programming is easy to setup and use, thus giving you more flexibility in controlling your home theater.

Product and Warranty Information

The receiver measures 6-37/64 by 17-1/8 by 15-3/64 inches (H x W x D), and weighs 26 pounds.

The Denon AVR-3312CI 7.2 Channel Integrated Network A/V Receiver is backed by a three-year warranty.

What's in the Box

AVR-3312CI 7.2-Channel A/V Receiver, detachable power cord, remote control, AA batteries, setup microphone, AM loop antenna, FM indoor antenna, quick setup guide, and CD-ROM owner's manual.

FS: 2006 Z4 M Coupe Sepang Bronze

FOR SALE: $26,000 OBO (does not include shipping)

Mileage: 53,800 miles

Exterior: Sepang Bronze Metallic (1 of 68 in North America)
, condition: 8.5 out of 10

Interior: Light Sepang Bronze extended Nappa Leather,
condition: 9.5 out of 10

Overview
Having two M Coupes seemed like a great idea, but things have changed in my life, and two two-doors does not a four-door make! The car has never been tracked, never been driven in snow or salt, and driven in rain less than 10 times.

It has always been parked in heated, covered garage (as was the case with previous owner)

I'm the 3rd owner. I purchased the car and took delivery in January 2013.

Maintenance History

The prior owner bought this as a CPO car. I have his service records available and I have changed the oil+filter (myself, in April 2014 and will change before sale). I put new
Michelin Pilot Super Sport XLs on it in May of 2014. No other service has been required during my ownership, as I have put about 5,000 miles on it.

The Minuses (photos will be uploaded to show detail shortly)

The prior owner did paintwork on the front, right part of the bumper/airdam and there is evidence of ground-off bodywork (that has been painted over). As part of the Pre-Purchase Inspection when I bought it, the dealership pointed this out, as well as the fact that the pop-up headlight washer cap was missing
. Ihave paperwork detailing this that I am happy to share. Other records show a complaint about a loose bumper that was retightned.

Bottom line: This indicates the car either bumped into something, or was bumped into under the prior owner's watch/care.

I ordered and installed RPi Skid Plates for the "fangs" -- the fangs have minor damage from parking blocks/curbs.

The passenger-side rear bumper has a ~1.5" light scratch. Not sure of origin or timing. It is through the paint.

The driver-side rear spoiler shows an area of overbuffing or some sort of scratch along the curve. Not sure of the origin or timing. It is through the clearcoat and color, but not the primer.

The steering wheel volume button area coating is peeling. Seems to be a common issue.

There are a few minor areas where road debris have impacted the paint, but nothing has gone to metal or past the primer.

Bottom line on the above: I live in a city and drove the car on a few trips to Minnesota and Wisconsin. This was not a garage queen and I was unable to keep it 100% perfect. I am disclosing all of this here in good faith.

The Plusses

1 of 68 in this color combination in North America

Cover included.

Options*

RPi Ram Air scoop and BMC high-flow filter (stock airbox)

Stromung Exhaust

Whalen Shift Machine brushed stainless steel shift knob (similar to photo here, but with 6-speed pattern -- my own photo will be posted shortly)

DFK Section One (see images below): Includes resonators, 100-cell catalytic convertor and 300-cell catalytic convertor (see here for the entire background -- the 300-cell cats are on their way and if the car sells before mine arrives, I will ship at my own cost to you. I am running stock headers and the resonators with no check engine light issues.

*I am possibly willing to part out the mufflers, shift knob and section one as I have retained all OEM parts. All stock and aftermarket parts are included in sale if not parted out.

In Conclusion

This is a gorgeous car. I've detailed items here you may not normally see in an ad because I've been a member on this forum, and others, for a long time and plan to for some time (I am not selling my 2000 Z3 M Coupe EVER).

If you have any questions, please feel free to post here. If you want to make a reasonable offer on the car or the optional components, please PM me.

I will be updating the photos soon

M Front Strut Mount on a Non-M?

I asked this on E90 section since I have a 3-series, not 1. I didn't get many responses, so I thought I would ask here...

Is this possible? I have a non-M E90 and if I put M front strut mount, I can gain SOME shock travel?

WTB Vorsteiner E92 Boot Lid

Ship to CA 94578 thanks 1x1 or 2x2

I think I found an interesting "rattle" source with my trunk sub...

I have MusicarNW's very wonderful trunk sub in sitting above my battery. I started getting an odd rattle after the temps dropped and I thought it was the gas cap. I cranked a bass-heavy tune and went to investigate...

There is what looks like a vent of some sort to the rear of the battery. It's a plastic rectangle with some slots on it and a little flap of clear material behind the slots. The "rattle" is the clear material vibrating against the plastic louder than I would have thought possible, not that gas cap.

I think I can kill the sound with a few strategically placed soft-side-of-the-Velcro dots.

Has anyone else run across this? If so, what did you do with it?

insurance question

I hit a another parked vehicle and scraped the paint off his front bumper (he wants to fix his paint chip at the dealer). The individual is asking for 480 dollars and to fix the paint/dent on my car i am being quoted 500 dollars. Ive never been in a accident before so I had a few questions about claiming via auto insurance. If i have a 100 dollar deductible is it better to pay out of pocket? My insurance agent wont tell me how much my policy will increase or if they forgive claims up to a certai dollar amount because its the weekend..
