08 e92 m3 non idrive bluetooth not working need help

I have a 08 e92 m3 non idrive, it is equipped with the bmw professional radio. I've had the car for about 6 months and I can't seem to get the bluetooth to turn on. I searched the YouTube vids etc. I tried pressing the phone button on the radio and no menu pops up, also tried pushing the phone button on the steering wheel control with no luck. Am I missing something? Does my car not have bluetooth equipped? I got the car used and it was pretty much a stripped down version m3 ! Is it deactivated ? If so how do I get it running again? I'm sick of using my damn speaker phone thanks for the help!
