I've been thinking it was something with the wheels as when I would turn, I would hear a rotating squeak sound. Kinda sounds like something rubbing up against the rotors... but then I realized it would go away when I depressed the clutch! Ohhhh Okay.. So not wheels. I've never heard a clutch squeak before... here are the symptoms in a rundown:
1. Squeak isn't always there but increases in with frequency as I speed up...
2. Some times is will get a bit worse when I am turning (why I figured it was the wheel) but it will always go away when the clutch is depressed.
3. No issues with power or engagement of the clutch.. feels normal
4. about 90k miles.
Outside of the clutch, what could it be?
I want to do the job myself but the clutch is pretty involved and requires a bunch of special tools (at least Bently tells me so).
Also, what would someone recommend doing as part of the job if the clutch needs to be replaced? One of those, "while I'm in there" kind of things.
Thanks!
