Hello everyone. Really need help here.
I had a water pump go out on me that shorted the electrical engine harness and DME. Mechanic and the third party warranty inspector both agreed it was an electrical failure of the pump that blew the whole system.
Anyways, I need a new engine wire harness and DME. My third party warranty is stating that the pictures the inspector took suggest that the connectors are corroded and therefore they will not cover the engine harness repair or new DME because the contract excludes corroded parts. Otherwise, the water pump, engine harness and DME are covered under the terms of my warranty.
Mechanic says there is no corrosion and the connectors and harness are melted from electrical short.
What do I do? Obviously the warranty company is trying to get out of paying for these parts as they are a huge charge but I really need help getting them to cut their bullcrap and pay right away. Any suggestions? First thing that jumps to mind is getting my attorney to talk with them...
