Trans Oil Cooler under the Fan ?

Sorry if this sounds totally bizzare, the radiator fan (on the bottom) has a screw that holds a weird looking thing has two lines running into, If thats the trans oil cooler shame on bmw for putting that teeny veeny thing to cool the tranny .. well they didnt know we were gonna crank 400 ponies out of this thing LOL, in all sincerity, that thing is not enough to cool the tranny oil, any recommendations to upgrade that to ? O did search and couldn't find anything conclusive
