don't be an idiot...like me

So I did the oil filter housing job on my wife's 2006 330xi... and i overtightened the coolant flow adjustment screw and heard it snap. It seemed to be secure so I left it in place and figure everything was fine... a few days later she got home from work and I found a large puddle of coolant under the car when I got home. Sure enough it was leaking around the black hex shaped part.

I ordered a new one and it popped right in and secured with a 90degree turn. No leaks now.

If you haven't drained and refilled coolant in this vehicle yet you may want to make a note to hold that black part of the coolant adjustment screw with a wrench to avoid over tightening and breaking those little tabs off.

Heres a picture of the new screw on the left and the old one with broken tabs on the right.
