PCV Install

I just installed my RB PCV. The PCV fits snugly into the cover (didn't need to force it in but it's held in firm enough that it doesn't fall out when I turn the cover upside down). Should it move freely inside the cover?



Now, I started the car (first time in two weeks) and gave the car a couple short stabs of the throttle and the engine stumbled and stopped. I checked for codes on the JB4 and there weren't any.



I started the car again and tried another couple revs and it kept running.



Could the car sitting dormant have caused it or have I done something wrong with the PCV?
