front wear sensor reset mileage low

So a bit back I replaced rotors and pads all the way around on my 128. Ceramic pads and drilled/slotted rotors. "I did not buy new sensors".

I jumpered the front and reset the sensors and the rear went up to like 27,000 or more, the front went up to only 3,200 then when I drove the first time they went to 1,200. Thought no biggie maybe I did it wrong. So after a month or two it had dropped below 500 and the light has come on so I did the reset again by jumping the front sensor then plugged it back in and the same result. 3,200 then 1,200.

So here are my questions.....

Does this mean there is wear on the front sensor?

Should I buy another one and waste my money?

Does the cut and splice actually work and give you full wear life?

What would the default reset value for the front be?

Thanks for the feedback,

Eric
