Trunk badge delete option

I always thought the option to delete the badge can be ordered but when I spoke to my dealer yesterday they said it cannot be done. I asked if it was possible to do it when the car arrives but this is also not possible, he said it would damage the paint and leave holes.



Can anyone confirm this? I thought it was just stuck on the trunk.
