Changed valve cover gasket, now battery discharge issue?

I just finished up my valve cover gasket on my 09 135i, and now when I start the car it says battery discharging while turned off, and wants me to set the date and time, did this yesterday and it did it again this morning, any ideas what I did wrong and what I should check?
