buy 330i? fear of head bolt issue unfounded?
I've run into a perfect Alpine white on black/alum sport package with all the options I want and all the options I don't want perfectly taken care of with a hundred k on it. Good price car is immaculate manual trans perfect in so many ways but I'm worried about the head bolts. The car has had no suspension work or cooling system work or clutch work so those are all in the future and I'm worried about the head bolts as well. But in every other way it's the cleanest perfectly optioned and basically everything but navigation for $8,500. I have not driven it or seen it in person I can just tell by the ad and the pictures and the the quality of the owner that it's probably as good as it sounds. What did they fix in 2007 for this problem? Are there updated bolts or something I can do? How much would it be to take out all the old head bolts and put in new ones if they're all good still ? What do I do?
