On my way into London late last night I got into what I shall refer to as a 'multiple lane, multiple vehicle traffic light start' with a 2006 and a 2014 RS4, Merc coupe and another fellow f31 330d EBII
I was expecting the 2006 Rs4 the wipe the floor with me, instead I was amazed that I was off the line,away and half way through the gearbox before he knew what had hit him, and not just once.
I could hear his engine so I know he was trying. I was more than a little surprised by that (I would not have bet on it) and was trying hard not to laugh/look smug at the next lights...:rolleyes:
In fairness the new RS4 seemed much quicker but was being held up by the older car
The other f31 was ahead of me at one point, he floored it and was off like a stabbed rat, it has to be said the pick up on those sdrive’s is something else.
Just goes to show you though, even with over 400 bhp its not everything. In the real word torque is king!
Sadly the fun ended when we hit serious stationery traffic (M4 closed).
If he is a member on here Id like to thank him for letting me follow him through the backstreets and avoid the massive jams.
