Just recently took delivery on a 2011 135i. Things went great for the first 2 days. Today I took my wife for a ride. Accelerating out of a turn the car bogged suddenly and it threw a half engine light followed by the service engine soon warning.
Took a quick look a the charge pipe and it blew completely free on the engine side. The bracket holding the c-clip appears to have completely blown apart. So that's my obvious issue. Just lookign at be pipe I can understand why people call this out as being one of the weakest links on the car. The plastic appears to be very brittle and extremely low quality.
Given that the car only has an exhaust and intake it's not something I want to deal with in the future. That said I ordered a Cobb pipe they managed to get out for overnight Saturday 30 mins prior to them closing.
So my question is this. I'm plannig to swap the pipe tomorrow. Can I expect the code to clear itself or do I need to sink around with the stealership?
