Learning a stick shift

If I was your neighbor would you be creeped out if I asked you to teach me to drive a stick shift on his e36 m3? I've been admiring it for years and I have always wanted to learn to drive a manual but never got around to it? If I am going to get another e90 its gonna be a stick and I might as well learn in a BMW.
