Bye bye run flats, hello Michelin PSS

I replaced my Goodyear run flat tires (225/45/18) with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (225/40/18). Because my car originally had 17-inch rims the 45 series tire was one inch taller than the stock setup. Even with the reduced sidewall, the ride quality is much better and as for the handling. . . well, let's just say I should have done this tire change a year ago when I first bought the car. The old tires still had plenty of tread so I was a bit reluctant to replace perfectly good, albeit average tires!! I also like the fact each tire is four pounds lighter and the car seems to roll easier once I let off the gas.
