So last night Tesla announced the production version of the Model X.
I absolutely love the way it looks, and the 'Falcon' doors are something else....
All the performance stats were known about before 0-60 in 3.3 seconds for the stupid quicker version, and 'only' 4.8 for the 'normal' 90D option...
But when you get old (like me) things like luggage space, and safety becomes important, especially when you have your own family to think about....the thing that sold it me (and my wife) was the crash testing photos - The side impact protection of this thing looks absolutely phenomenal compared to a X5/Q7.
The PCP deal on my Leaf ends early 2017, and fits in perfectly with first RHD delivery times for the Model X....Only problem is there is currently only one version announced the 90D, which will likely have a UK price of £70K+:confused0068:...That's just far too much for us to justify, falcon doors or not. A cheaper version is coming, but no idea when or how much cheaper....
For now I'm itching to press the 'Reserve now' button, but have to wait till a version we can afford is announced....Really should have worked harder in school
