Next stop from a 330i?

So I still love my 330i, but I'm thinking at 165k, its time for something a little newer-(or maybe older??)

I can't afford new- which means I probably can't afford upkeep on a used 335. I do my own mechanic work, but I think a 335 would be beyond my rhino-ramps capability.

I'm thinking of buying a nice older e36 to drive to work, and buying my wife something like an RDX for our daily.

Anyone else facing the "whats next" dilemma?

Looking for 4 doors, sporty drive, manual, reliability (at least as reliable as my n52 has been).

I've been all knocking this all around.... newer 328, older 328 with maybe a supercharger in the future, e46 m3, G37, ATS...
