E90 clunk automatic transmission shifts

Hi i have a 2009 328i with around 31xxx miles on it. I've noticed recently that when i drive when the engine is cold, like in the morning when im headed to work the shifts from 1-2-3 are kind of clunky. Is it normal for BMW's to have clunky shifts when everythings cold? recently ive also had some clunky downshifts/upshifts when im bringing my car to a stop at a stop sign or when im accelerating into a turn. Im just wondering if anyone else has experience this before.
